LAVS is a non-Government, non-political, non-profit making organization engaged in the field of social development. It was founded by a group of like-minded social activists in the year 1991 and simultaneously registered under society registration act XXI of 1860 in the year 1991.LAVS is a democratic, registered Non-Government Organization. Its affairs are carried out in accordance with a written constitution. It does not work for profit nor serves any sectarian interest. It eschews violence in any form.

LAVS is a humble grassroots organization that facilitates community interface with government and donor agencies. Instead of playing an intermediary their capacities for negotiation, achievement and management. Most of the time, projects are implemented with little or limited funding support.This has been possible by the selfless work of dedicated team of professional and volunteers of LAVS. It may not be much, but LAVS will make its contribution for this project too. Besides, it will mobilize community contribution also in cash and kind.
